After our friend Steph had visited Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore, she deserved a relaxing weekend in Goa. It was the beginning of the rainy season and Goa had changed into a less sunny but even more peaceful place.
Steph and Douwe had something to celebrate: 4 years at Google.
The water was still warm enough: Steph braving the waves.
When Douwe and I went to Colva beach a few years ago, it was lined with beach shacks offering food and drink. Now, there were hardly any and even those were about to disappear. Even the most sturdy looking and beautifully decorated places not only close up for the three rainy months but get totally taken apart and stored away - to be rebuilt in a matter of days at the beginning of the next season.
